Project Assistant - Recruitment
Applications are invited for the post of Project Assistant to work on a Department of Science and
Technology (DST), Ministry of Science and Technology, New Delhi funded project entitled
'Development of MEMS Based Bundle Fiber Strength Tester and Fiber Fineness Tester' at the
Department of Textile Technology, Anna University, Chennai-600025. The details are as follows:
Number of Position : One
Project Duration : 2 Years
Tenure of the Post : 1 Year
Consolidated Stipend : Rs. 8,000/- per month
Essential Qualification : First Class degree in M.Sc. (Physics)/M. Sc. (Comp.
Sc.)/MCA/ B. Tech. Textile Technology/B. E. (EEE) or
equivalent /B.E (Comp. Sc.) or equivalent.
Desirable : 1 year experience in the relevant field.

Candidates who have passion for learning and adopting inter-disciplinary subjects and data

General Instructions
The appointment is purely temporary. The contract is initially for a period of one year and
based on the performance of the candidate, it may be extendable for further one year or
till the date of completion of the project, whichever is earlier. The post is coterminous with
the project.
Selected candidate have to report for the duty within 2 weeks after the interview.
The Selection committee reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for interview to
a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum
prescribed.
The actual date and time of interview will be intimated only to the shortlisted candidates in
due course by e-mail only. No T.A. /D.A. will be provided to attend the interview.
