~STIPENDIARY INTERNS~
Indian National Science Academy an apex organization of scientists, engaged in promotion and
recognition of excellence in science in the country invites application for Stipendiary Interns from bright,
dynamic and dedicated students who have completed their M.Sc./ M.Tech./Ph.D. Programme in any
branch of Science/ M.Com/ MBA (Finance)/ MBA (HR). They are expected to handle Academy's
various programmes with learning managerial skills and developing leadership qualities.
1. STIPENDIARY INTERNS (FOR SCIENTIFIC SCHEMES/ PROJECTS/ PROGRAMMES)
ELIGIBILITY:
Minimum 60 % Marks or equivalent GPA at M.Sc./ M.Tech. OR Ph.D. in any branch of Science
COMPUTER SKILL
The applicant should be well conversant with usage of Computer and able to handle web based search on
internet email. etc.
AGE:
The upper age limit is 30 years as on 1.10.2013.
STIPEND:
Rs. 20000/- per month (consolidated) for M.Sc.
Rs. 24000/- per month (consolidated) for M.Tech / Ph.D.
No other allowance is admissible.
2. STIPENDIARY INTERNS (FOR ACCOUNTS FIELD)
ELIGIBILITY:
Minimum 60 % Marks in M.Com./ MBA (Finance)
COMPUTER SKILL
The applicant should be well conversant with usage of Computer and able to handle web based search on
internet email. etc.
AGE:
The upper age limit is 30 years as on 1.10.2013.
STIPEND:
Rs. 20000/- per month (consolidated)
No other allowance is admissible.
3. STIPENDIARY INTERN (FOR ADMINISTRATIVE FIELD) :
ELIGIBILITY:
Minimum 60 % Marks in MBA (HR)
COMPUTER SKILL
The applicant should be well conversant with usage of Computer and able to handle web based search
on internet email. etc.
AGE:
The upper age limit is 30 years as on 1.10.2013.
STIPEND:
Rs. 20000/- per month (consolidated)
No other allowance is admissible.
TENURE
Initially for one year extendable on yearly basis for another four years subject to satisfactory
performance to be evaluated every 6 months by the Committee. The interns will be engaged on purely
temporary basis and shall have no claim for further extension, absorption or regularization in INSA after
expiry/ termination of the internship.
MODE OF SELECTION:
Selection will be made on the basis of interview after screening/ shortlisting. The process may include a
written test. Merely fulfilling the educational qualification will not be a claim for written test/
interview call. In the event of number of applications being large, the Academy has rights for
shortlisting criteria to restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test/ interview to a
reasonable number on the basis of higher educational qualifications than the minimum prescribed in the
advertisement or on the basis of higher experience or any other method as decided by the Academy. The
decision of the Academy will be final and binding on the candidates.
HOW TO APPLY
The prescribed application form can be downloaded from www.insaindia.org and duly filled in form may
be sent to the Executive Director, Indian National Science Academy, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New
Delhi-110002 latest by 21 October, 2013. The application form should be accompanied by self-attested
copies of testimonials (including Mark Sheet)/ certificates in support of age, educational qualifications,
experience if any and caste/ tribe etc along with a photograph. Those who have applied in response of
earlier advertisements need not apply again.
NOTE:
1. Applications not supported by above certificates will not be entertained in any case and no
correspondence shall be entertained.
2. Candidates are required to possess a valid e-mail ID which is to be filled up correctly and
legibly.
3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test/ interview.
4. They will be entitled for one day leave for each completed month's internship.
5. Interns will not be allowed to register himself/ herself for Ph.D.
6. Candidate should possess the required qualification as on 1st October, 2013. Candidates whose result awaited need not apply.
7. Interns will be engaged for various science programmes/projects/schemes/ and publications / Administration/ Finance.
8. The candidates may be asked to attend Academy on Saturday/ Sunday/ outstation during the internship.
9. Internship period can be curtailed by giving one month's notice from either side.
10. Canvassing in any form and bringing in any influence will be treated as disqualification.
